The NanoDiode project initiates a range of public engagement activities on nanotechnology research and innovation. The consortium comprises a wide range of stakeholders involved in the governance of nanotechnologies, including researchers from the natural and social sciences, industrial associations, civil society organisations and the media.
We have different motivations for engaging in the debate on nanotechnologies. The NanoDiode project thereby constitutes a social experiment in itself: how can such a diverse consortium come to an agreed outlook on public engagement? This document aims to formulate the main principles that drive the engagement activities within NanoDiode.
